Tanning Bed Tips: A Few Things You Should Know

Defined Tag:

With the increasing demands on time and the ever
present quest for convenience, tanning beds are growing in popularity.
A quick trip to the tanning bed requires less preparation than a trip
to the beach and you step out of the tanning bed into an air conditioned
room. It is no wonder the popularity is growing. Here are some tips to
help you get the best results for tanning when using a tanning bed.

Limit time in tanning beds

Tanning
beds have the same effects as the sun when you use them and this effect
is usually to give you a nice red burn instead of a nice even tan. The
reason for this is that we are exposing ourselves to UV rays, however
that won't stop up from working on our tan. So we need to be safe and
continue to keep the exposure we receive to a minimum. When attempting
to achieve the desired tanned looked three times a week is sufficient.
Once you get your tan to a nice even level it can easily be kept up
with 1 or 2 sessions per week.

It's hard not to hurry up when we
want a tan, but your body will thank you for doing it right the first

time. You should never ever stay in a tanning bed longer than the time
limit set for you. This will only cause you to get burned and then you
won't be able to get into the tanning bed again for a few days.

Tanning lotions

First
thing to remember in the tanning bed is that there are different
results achieved by different lotions. Starting with an accelerator
lotion in order to speed the process of getting your tan is the best
place to begin. This type of lotion is specifically for speeding up the
tanning process and will build the base of your tan nicely. Putting
your lotion on about an hour before you go to the tanning bed will also
make you tan better.

Once your base tan is built you will then
move on to the next lotion. After the accelerator you will move to the
number two lotion as the next step, then number three and so on. As you
notice the effectiveness of a lotion wearing off, meaning you are not
seeing any improvement in your tan then you will move on up to the next
level. Keep moving up in lotions until you reach the tan you want.

Once
you reach the level of tan that you desire you will simply need to
maintain the tan with a weekly or bi-weekly visit to the tanning salon. Don't
get in a hurry and try to rush your tan by skinning lotions. This is
not healthy and instead of giving you a better tan it will only give
you a better burn. So don't skip lotions.

Protect your eyes

You
should always were something to protect your eyes from the UV rays in
the tanning bed. Your face and eyes will thank you later in life if you
take care of them now while you are enjoying your tan. If you
follow these simple tips you will find that you have a gorgeous tan
because you achieved the best results when using a tanning bed.
